Beryl Hines Honorary Member

5 Tanyard Court, Station Road, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12 4JE
Honorary member Beryl is a 'low temperature' potter, throwing and hand building one-off pieces and enjoying the excitement of playing with fire! 'Raku' firing has long been a favourite technique and a recent fascination with the joys and frustrations of in-glaze lustre has lent a new dimension to her work.
A great admiration for the skills of the Romano-British potters, fragments of whose work can be found all over Suffolk, has lead to experiments with ancient ceramic techniques and Beryl has built kilns and run workshops involving children and adults for many organisations.
