Ann Lee 

Ex-member Ann Lee - I make wheel thrown pots and sculptural hand built vessels. Forms are cut reshaped, remodelled, and rejoined to make new forms. Items range from cups/bowls to larger sculptural vessels. Clay may be pressed, draped, pinched, coiled or thrown. The unexpected is welcome. Clay may be a fine porcelain, or a gritty clay body depending on the final intention for the piece. 

I finish the pots with glazes which may be designed for practical domestic use, or in the case of hand built pots, I paint slips and glazes which equally could have a stoney surface reminiscent of desert rocky landscapes, or pink sandy beaches.
