Stephen produces a range of fine contemporary turned wood items, using English timbers. In addition to small gift items and domestic pieces, like bowls and lamps, he also designs and makes individual, one-off pieces.  

 

Working with unseasoned timbers, his use of wet-turning techniques produces work with textured finishes, which are often further enhanced by scorching, emphasising the natural grain of the wood.
