Welcoming new member Lin Carter. 

 

Lin Carter has several looms in her studio of varying age and complexity. These, together with materials gathered over a lifetime, offer her opportunity to experiment, and to begin the process of designing and making – having trained in Contemporary Constructed Textiles in Bradford. 

 

In her weaving she uses the handspun fleece of the rare breed sheep that graze Orford Ness to make pieces of warmth and texture. 

 

Always eager to learn and with a diversity of textile and making skills, Lin makes felted hats scarves, throws and bespoke pieces suitable for interiors. Lin is an experienced teacher and mentors those ready to develop their emerging weaving skills.
