Welcoming new member Lin Carter. 

 

Lin Carter makes because she loves making, being the next in a long line of tradition that both honours the past and contributes to a future. She treats her making life with a sense of joyful urgency against the passage of time and loves her pieces to tell a story, be it through the materials, the equipment, the source. 

 

Trained in traditional and contemporary basketry, her pieces include willow that she has grown herself and rush gathered from Suffolk rivers. From these materials Lin weaves rush hats, vessels and decorative forms.
