The Minories, 74 High Street, Colchester CO1 1UE

The Craft Society will be exhibiting at the Minories in Colchester from 1st to 18th May 2025. The Minories is open from Thursday through to Sunday each week.

Handing in Day Monday 28th April, 10am - 4pm
Setup Days Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th April.
Collection Day Monday 19th May, 10am - 3pm

We are exhibiting in the downstairs room, to the right of the front entrance. This is a smaller room than we usually use and there is no storage space, other than underneath the desk.

Please do not bring too much work:
Wall-hung work can accommodate 4-6 small/medium works or two large works.
There will be browsers for unframed prints.
There will be a lot of 3D work so again 5 large display pieces or a collection of smaller work.

If you are able to re-supply to replace sold pieces during the exhibition please make a note on your exhibition form with your contact details so the desk supervisor can contact you.

The exhibition organiser is Liz Chester, liz.chester@btinternet.com
For emergencies only Mobile 07711 107052
9 Elsmere Road, Ipswich, IP1 3SZ

The Rota is being compiled by Pat Todd; contact details on the Rota link. We need a desk supervisor and one steward for each open day. Further volunteers are also needed for handing in and setup days, clearing on Sunday afternoon and takedown and collection on Monday 19th.

Please send an electronic copy of your exhibition form to Nicci Dedman by 28th April treasurer@suffolkcraftsociety.org to be loaded onto the sales system.
Please complete the exhibition form in duplicate and bring both copies with your work to the exhibition.

Please note that there is currently a £15 hanging fee which can be paid on the Zettle on handing in day. If you are asking someone else to bring your work, please supply them with £15 on your behalf.

Exhibits will be cleared from the display equipment on the Sunday afternoon between 4-6pm to enable the van to collect display equipment on Monday morning. It will be possible to collect work during this period, provided you agree this with the exhibition organiser in advance.

There is very limited parking space at the Minories. There is room for two cars at the front on handing in day and collection day, but not when the lorry is loading or unloading in the morning. There may be space around the rear to fit in a car. Contact the exhibition organiser if you need to park directly next to the building. Please do not park on the road leading past the Minories towards FirstSite. This area is fiercely ticketed by parking wardens. There are a couple of car parks on the opposite side of the road. The larger one takes cash and the smaller one takes cash and can by paid for by parking app.
