We are delighted to welcome ceramicist Sue Caddy as a new member of the Suffolk Craft Society.
Inspired by natural found forms such as shells, fossils, seeds and plants, Sue creates hand-built ceramics that echo their intricate, organic structures.
Using techniques including coiling, slab building and pinching, she develops each piece intuitively, with surface and texture playing a central role. Her work has evolved towards a subtle, neutral palette, where carefully chosen clays and oxides enhance the sculpted detail, resulting in distinctive and harmonious one-of-a-kind pieces.
