We are delighted to announce the opening of our first exhibition of the year at Gallery 21 and the Dovecote at Snape Maltings. The showcase is a vibrant celebration of contemporary craft and a special milestone marking 50 years since our very first exhibition at this iconic venue.

Bringing together an inspiring range of ceramics, printmaking, textiles, glass, wood, and jewellery, the exhibition showcases outstanding work by Society members from across East Anglia. Rooted in tradition yet alive with innovation, it highlights the remarkable creativity, skill and diversity of today’s makers.

To commemorate this anniversary, furniture maker and Society member Tim Germain has crafted a bespoke bench, now situated near the Henry Moore Lawn overlooking the reed beds. Thoughtfully designed for this unique setting, it offers a place to pause, reflect and enjoy the expansive Suffolk skies.

The exhibition runs from Monday 30 March to Sunday 26 April, with opportunities to meet makers and see demonstrations during Snape’s Place Weekend on 11–12 April.

Set on the banks of the River Alde, just six miles from Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings provides a truly special backdrop. Its beautifully restored Victorian buildings, home to galleries, independent shops, a restaurant, café and performance spaces, make it the perfect destination for a spring day out whilst enjoying the creativity of our members.

We very much look forward to welcoming you.
