Spreading our Wings - Minsmere Discovery Centre, 21st May 2022

This project, inspired by Minsmere and by Arabella Marshall’s installation A Wing and a Prayer, is an innovative collaboration between the Suffolk Craft Society and the RSPB. The day will offer an opportunity to walk through this atmospheric and diverse site, perhaps visit A Wing and a Prayer, and to come to the first public celebration of this collaborative project. 

The event is to be a Meet the Makers occasion, on site at Minsmere, in the Discovery Centre. Makers from our "Spreading our Wings" group will be demonstrating their crafts and talking about the planned work. There will be a number of new installations in place, both inside and outside, made by members of the Spreading Our Wings group, showing how they have experimented with collaboration and explored new skills. The event will be informal, one that everyone should enjoy and that will demonstrate some of the work in progress.
