SCS to Exhibit at Craft Co this June

As London Craft Week draws to a close, we are pleased to turn our attention to the next exciting event in the Society’s exhibition programme. This June, Suffolk Craft Society will present a special exhibition in the Upstairs Gallery at CraftCo, Southwold, offering visitors the opportunity to experience an inspiring collection of contemporary craft from selected Society members. 

 

Situated on Southwold High Street, CraftCo has long been recognised as one of Suffolk’s most established and respected destinations for contemporary craft. Founded more than 38 years ago by a collective of passionate makers, CraftCo was created to provide a dedicated space to champion excellence in craftsmanship and applied arts. Today, it continues that mission through its thriving ground-floor shop and dynamic programme of exhibitions held in the first-floor gallery. 

 

The Society is delighted to be joining this programme with an exhibition that will showcase the work of 11 selected members, bringing together a rich and varied collection spanning ceramics, leather, jewellery, print and textiles. Visitors can expect thoughtfully crafted work that demonstrates both technical expertise and contemporary creative practice. 

 

Alongside the gallery exhibition, visitors will also have the opportunity to discover and purchase work from a further nine Suffolk Craft Society members who are also represented within CraftCo’s permanent shop. Together, the exhibition and shop displays will offer an extended celebration of Suffolk’s vibrant craft community. 

This exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity to explore exceptional handmade work in a welcoming and established craft setting, while supporting the makers who continue to sustain and evolve contemporary craft practice across the region.
