New member Nell Rose

Suffolk Craft Society welcomes new Maker Nell Rose. 

 

Nell is a weaver and textile artist, creating an array of works from wall pieces and sculptures to hats and scarves. Her approach is often experimental, driven by a deep curiosity about the endless possibilities of woven cloth. 

 

In her small but dynamic studio, Nell works with a variety of looms, including a 12-shaft Louet Delta Countermarche floor loom, several Ashford table looms, and a 24-shaft Louet Magic Dobby loom, which she has adapted for crafting intricate 3D woven sculptures. She works almost exclusively with natural fibers, often dyeing her own yarn using traditional natural dyes, adding depth and character to her pieces.
