Suffolk Craft Society members Helen Maxfield and Marta Dyer-Smith are among the five local artists behind PrintEast, a brand new print fair launching on 4 October 2025 at the Athenaeum in Bury St Edmunds.
The event will celebrate the region’s vibrant printmaking scene, showcasing work from both emerging and established artists. Alongside a curated selection of hand-made prints, visitors can enjoy live demonstrations and explore tools and techniques from studios such as Gainsborough's House and Curwen Print Studio.
Marta, based in Bury St Edmunds, says: “PrintEast is about creating a space where artists, studios and the public can connect. We want to build a real community around printmaking in Suffolk.”
Helen Maxfield, who works near Needham Market, will be exhibiting her distinctive linocut prints as part of the fair.
