There is so much to discover at our Summer Exhibition, held in partnership with the National Trust at the stunning Ickworth House.
We are deeply grateful to the wonderful Ickworth National Trust team for their support and guidance throughout this project, and to our dedicated Suffolk Craft Society makers who, in just six days, transformed the space into a vibrant celebration of contemporary craft. Together, they installed more than 500 unique pieces from 49 makers – each one meticulously handmade with extraordinary care and attention to detail.
From finely worked jewellery and expressive ceramics to striking sculpture, textiles, glass, leather, and wood, the exhibition brings together the very best of Suffolk’s contemporary craft in one extraordinary setting. The diversity of work on display reflects both the depth of skill within our Society and the shared commitment of our members to create objects of beauty, purpose, and enduring value.
Set against the remarkable backdrop of Ickworth’s house, gardens, and parkland, the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience craft within a peerless heritage environment. Whether you are an admirer of design, a supporter of handmade work, or simply curious to explore, this is an inspiring showcase not to be missed.
We warmly invite you to visit and immerse yourself in this celebration of creativity, heritage, and craftsmanship.
