We are delighted to announce the opening of our summer exhibition at the beautiful Ickworth Estate. For just over three weeks, visitors can explore an inspiring showcase of contemporary craft set within this historic National Trust property.
More than 40 exceptional makers are taking part, with work spanning sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, wood, leather, and glass. From reclaimed-material sculptures to printmaking inspired by the Suffolk landscape, the exhibition highlights both the diversity and the creativity of today’s craft.
Coinciding with the start of Heritage Week, this exhibition celebrates tradition and innovation side by side. It honours cultural heritage, artisanal skill, and the enduring value of handmade art. At its heart lies a commitment to creating future heirlooms—contemporary pieces forged with time-honoured methods, designed to be cherished for generations.
Visitors can expect an extraordinary variety of work, from intricate textiles to sculptural ceramics, each piece reflecting the unique voice of its maker and the rich lineage of craftsmanship behind it.
Join us this summer and immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration of artistry, heritage, and design in one of Suffolk’s most iconic settings. Whether you are inspired by history, creativity, or the spirit of making, this is an exhibition not to be missed.
