Clare Gaylard was featured on Radio Suffolk’s Meet the Maker segment, where she shed light on the intricacies of her craft. The interview was live, and as she waited to be patched in, Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff played in the background—an unplanned but perfectly serendipitous choice, setting the scene for a discussion about glass and fire.

Reflecting on her journey, she recalled the challenge of finding someone to teach her nearly twenty years ago. Eventually, she traveled to the renowned Höglund Glass studio in New Zealand, an experience so immersive that she found herself dreaming about glassblowing at night.

Today, Clare sells her work through various exhibitions and galleries and also offers workshops from her studio near Framlingham, sharing her passion and expertise with others.
