Continuing our focus on our two upcoming exhibitions, we are delighted to spotlight the exceptional printmakers who will be showcasing their work at The Minories and Suffolk in the City, London Craft Week in May.
Terry Bryan – Terry's unique blend of graphic and visual concepts, combined with his photographic imagery, serves as an ongoing source of inspiration for his contemporary prints. Using solarplate etching, photo etching, monotypes, and collagraphs, his work reflects a deep interest in landscapes, seascapes, architecture, and a particular fascination with military history. Discover Terry’s work at The Minories Exhibition.
Sally Freer – Sally’s prints beautifully capture the intricate landscapes of hedgerows, winding pathways through patterned fields, and boats stranded on the shore, often leading to hidden churches. Her work explores the transformative power of colour, using various coloured print marks to change the dynamic and mood of each piece. Sally's work will be featured at the Suffolk in the City exhibition during London Craft Week and at The Minories Exhibition.
Annabel Ridley – Annabel’s work evolves from a combination of drawing, mark-making, and colour, incorporating hybrid print processes that bring both abstract and figurative elements into dynamic compositions. Her pieces create a fusion of structure and interaction, with positive elements that balance and unify the work. Find Annabel’s work at The Minories Exhibition.
Helen Maxfield – Helen, based in Suffolk, creates limited edition linocuts inspired by her sketching trips across the countryside and coastline. Starting with observational studies, her designs develop through the printmaking process, with the aim of celebrating the beauty of her surroundings and the inherent qualities of linocut. Helen’s work will be showcased at Suffolk in the City during London Craft Week and at The Minories Exhibition.
