Vivid colours and dynamic, flowing forms are beautifully captured in this detailed section of 'Breaking the Banks', a recently completed work by artist Liz Chester. This intricate textile piece draws its inspiration from the contemporary movement of rewilding rivers—a crucial ecological practice aimed at restoring natural watercourses to reduce the risk of flooding. Through the interplay of rich hues and organic shapes, Liz's work evokes the untamed energy of waterways as they meander and reclaim their natural paths, celebrating the harmony between art, nature, and environmental restoration.

The finished work measures 112 x 65cm.
