Applications for Suffolk Craft Society Membership are now open and will close on the 31 January.

Founded in 1970, the Suffolk Craft Society supports and promotes excellence in contemporary craft, bringing together around 90 professional makers working across a wide range of disciplines. The Society champions high-quality workmanship, strong design, and originality.

We invite applications from professional makers based in Suffolk and surrounding counties whose work demonstrates technical skill, creativity, and a commitment to developing their practice. We are particularly keen to hear from makers with a sustainability focus and from those interested in actively contributing to the Society and its activities.

Applicants are asked to submit:
A completed application form
Up to eight images of their work
A £15 administration fee

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview with members of the SCS committee.

If you are an established maker working in any craft discipline and would like to join a supportive and respected craft network, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Don’t miss the deadline — applications close 31 January.
