Suffolk Craft Society at Ickworth Estate
Ickworth Estate, Bury Saint Edmunds IP29 5QE
28th August - 20th September
We are delighted to announce our return to the beautiful Ickworth Estate this summer, once again hosted by the National Trust. Set within the striking surroundings of this historic estate, the exhibition will run from 28th August to 20th September 2026, bringing together an inspiring collection of contemporary craft created by our members.

Visitors can expect a thoughtfully curated exhibition showcasing exceptional craftsmanship across a wide range of disciplines, including ceramics, textiles, jewellery, glass, wood, printmaking, basketry and mixed media. Each piece reflects the individuality, skill and creative vision of our makers — contemporary works designed to be treasured, celebrated and passed on as modern heirlooms for today and tomorrow.

This year’s exhibition will also include a presentation of the exciting Crossing Crafts collaboration, highlighting creative exchange and new perspectives that continue to strengthen connections between makers, materials and communities. While the impact of Crossing Crafts will extend far beyond any single exhibition, we are delighted to share elements of this evolving project with visitors at Ickworth.

Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing updates on participating makers, highlights of featured work and previews of what visitors can expect from our Summer 2026 exhibition. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels as we reveal more about this exciting return to Ickworth.

We look forward to welcoming you to another celebration of contemporary craft in one of Suffolk’s most remarkable destinations.
