We are delighted to announce that the Suffolk Craft Society will be holding an exhibition this June in the Upstairs Gallery at CraftCo, Southwold. This special event offers an opportunity to present a selection of members’ work within one of Suffolk’s most established and respected craft venues.
Founded over 38 years ago by a collective of passionate makers, CraftCo was created to provide a dedicated space to showcase high-quality contemporary craft. Situated on Southwold’s High Street, it continues to thrive with a strong commitment to promoting excellence in applied arts. The ground floor shop features an ever-changing collection from its Members and Associate Members, while the first-floor gallery hosts a vibrant and varied exhibition programme throughout the year which we are pleased to join.
The Suffolk Craft Society exhibition will bring together the work of 11 selected members, spanning a diverse range of disciplines including ceramics, leather, jewellery, print and textiles. Visitors can expect a rich and engaging display of skill, creativity and contemporary practice. Alongside the gallery exhibition, a further 9 Society members who are also part of CraftCo will have work available to purchase in the shop, offering an extended opportunity to explore and collect from our makers.
This vibrant exhibition will include the work of Susie Bruce, Jean Constantine, Marie Coomber, Alison Dane, Jean Fryer, Greta Hansen, Valerie Jarvis, Sheila Madder, Alex Waylett, Sarah Woodcock and Mary Wyatt.
