40A High St, Southwold IP18 6AE
Show open daily from Thursday 18th June until Tuesday 30th June.

We are pleased to confirm that the Society will be holding an exhibition this summer in the Upstairs Gallery of CraftCo in Southwold. This exhibition will primarily be an opportunity for those not showing at London Craft Week or Snape Maltings.

To ensure new members have the same opportunity to apply as renewing members, Expressions of Interest will open on Thursday 2nd April 2026 at 7pm, when full details will be emailed to all members. Expressions of Interest open will be on a 'first come first served' basis, so please put a note in your diaries to look out for the email on Thursday 2nd April 2026 at 7pm to apply for this opportunity.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Claire Pirie, the Society Secretary.
Thursday 2nd April at 7pm - Expression of interest opens (first come first served)
Thursday 16th April - Successful applicants receive confirmation email
Wednesday 17th June - Delivery of work to CraftCo, between 13:30-14:30 (see below)
Wednesday 17th June - 13:30-17:00 volunteers needed for set up
Thursday 18th June - Show opens
Tuesday 30th June - Show closes
Wednesday 1st July - Work collection from CraftCo, between 10.30am - 12.00 noon (see below)
All SCS Members and SCS Honorary Members can apply, but for this additional exhibition, priority will be given to those members who are not part of the Snape Maltings or London Craft Week exhibitions. There is no theme to the exhibition.

We anticipate exhibiting 4-6 2D makers and 6-10 3D makers in the Upstairs Gallery.

Due to the limited floor space (gallery has fixed display furniture), we will not be able to include large pieces of furniture.

Due to insurance restrictions, we cannot include precious metal/stone jewellery or any item with a value over £7,500. The standard SCS Insurance cover applies (fire and theft which involves entry to or exit from the insured premises by forcible or violent means) All other losses are not covered by the Society's insurance and participants are encouraged to have their own insurance.

The number of items each exhibitor will be able to display will be co-ordinated with myself to ensure each exhibitor has an equal opportunity to sell. 2D exhibitors will have wall space for 2-4 pieces (depending on size) plus space for unframed pieces in one shared browser. There will also be table space for cards, but the large SCS card stand cannot be used as there isn't enough space.

All wall hung pieces are to be hung using the Gallery's picure rails - no nails/screws/picuture hooks in the walls.

Delivery of stock to CraftCo (40a High Street, Southwold, IP18 6AE) is 1.30pm - 2.30pm Wednesday 17 June 2026. We cannot gain access to the gallery before 1.30pm. If you are not able to delivery between 1.30 - 2.30pm, I may be able to accept deliveries to my home (Rendlesham IP122GD) prior to the exhibition, but please note your work will not be insured whilst stored at my home/transported to CraftCo by me/another.

I will need a few volunteers to help set up the exhibition 1.30pm - 5.00pm on Wednesday 17 June 2026, in particular people to hang the 2D work (only using the gallery's picture rails).

The exhibition is open Thursday 18 June to Tuesday 30 June. Opening hours are 10.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Saturday and 10.30 - 4.00pm Sundays

Take down and collection of unsold work is 10.30am - 12.00 noon on Wednesday 1 July 2026. If you are not able to collect your work at this time, I may be able to take it to my home for collection from Rendlesham (IP122GD) but space will be very limited as I will also have the display stands etc in my car. Please note your work would not be insured whilst transported/stored at my home.

All sales will be processed by the CraftCo staff using the CraftCo payment system, so we do not need SCS Supervisors to process sales.

We would like to have one SCS Steward in attendance each day to chat to visitors if possible. A stewarding rota will be circulated to all participants. The standard stewarding travel expenses can be claimed (mileage within Suffolk up to £20) and paid after the exhibition.

All participants to pay the standard SCS £15 Exhibition Fee on Delivery Day (Wednesday 17 June) and have paid their 2026-27 SCS Membership.

The Society will pay exhibitors for sales (minus the standard SCS commission) once the Society has received payment from CraftCo (who are processing all payments), so payment will take slightly longer than usual.

I will email all applicants by Thursday 16 April to confirm if they have been successful or not.

Finally, for SCS members who are also CraftCo Members/Associate Members, you are welcome to apply, however I think it would need to be different pieces to that stocked in the CraftCo Shop.
If, after reading all of this (sorry it's so long), you are still interested in taking part, please email Claire Pirie and confirm what you would like to exhibit so I can plan how many members can exhibit. I need to know:

2D or 3D work
Description or photos of what you like to exhibit and quantity
Any specialist display requirements
